Kirsi Saivosalmi is an Amsterdam based producer from Finland. Her focus is in creative project development as well as co-producing both fiction and documentaries.
Her first released co-production, EAMI by Paz Encina, premiered earlier this year at the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2022 winning the Tiger Award. Current co-productions include the film UTOPIA by Juri Rechinsky and documentary MEMORY by Vladlena Sandu.
Kirsi is also producer on three short films, resents being FIVE TIGER by Nomawonga Khumalo (in Competition for Best Short at Sundance Film Festival 2021), and FAMILY HOUR by Mariia Ponomarova (in Competition
for Best Short at the Odesa International Film Festival and The Netherlands Film Festival 2018).
No matter what genre, Kirsi is always looking for contemporary stories with social relevance, strong protagonists and topics that speak about identity, cultural miscommunication or transition moments in life.
