We are happy to learn that Temporary Lives by filmmaker Wessam Hachicho has been selected for the Nordic Co-Production Market in Haugesund in Norway.
Wessam Hachicho participated in the lim² | less is more programme in 2019. She met producer Amélie Quéret of Respiro Production (France) during the lim² meet, the annual event showcasing lim² projects. This meeting marked the beginning of a collaboration that has continued to grow around the development of Temporary Lives.
The film follows Salim, a Syrian teenager, and his father as they seek asylum in Oslo. But Salim wants to return home and tries to sabotage their asylum request. The film explores their journey through trauma, family ties, and the sacrifices they must make to survive.
Being selected for the Nordic Co-Production Market is an important opportunity for the project to connect with Norwegian co-production, bringing the film one step closer to production.
