Gift from God

“Gift from God” is a psychological drama about 14-year-old, SHAW, who in the process of discovering herself destroys her ‘happy’ family. After years of travelling around Eastern Europe with her bohemian parents, they arrive to work at a remote and tranquil smallholding in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains. Shaw meets a local boy, SORIN and as they grow closer, she finds solace in him, his normal family life. Through doing a self-search on his computer using her real name, Seána, she discovers she is now presumed dead by her biological family back in Scotland. Disturbed, Shaw begins to probe and provoke her parents about the past while making an anonymous contact on social media with her real uncle from home. When her the father returns from a sheep pilgrimage with a plan to put things right, Shaw remorsefully confesses her contact from her uncle in Scotland and the family drive off the mountain, still desperate to avoid the inevitable consequences.
