Georgis is a Greek writer-director with a background in social psychology and a Master’s in Directing from Britain’s National Film and Television School (NFTS). Ηe has written and, directed numerous short films that have garnered international attention and received awards at festivals worldwide. His debut feature film, DIGGER, was supported by the Sundance Screenwriters Lab and the Cannes Cinéfondation Residency. It premiered at the 70th Berlinale, receiving the Art Cinema CICAE Award and competed at renowned international festivals winning over 20 awards (Sarajevo|Best Actor, Angers|Special Mention, Thessaloniki|Silver Alexander, Busan, Melbourne, Philadelphia, Haifa, São Paolo, Goteborg, Ghent, AFI). It is represented by The Match Factory worldwide.
