Gunhild Enger (1980) graduated from Edinburg College of Art, and The School of Film Directing in Gothenburg. She was nominated for a BAFTA with her graduation film Bargain, and has since then screened her films at festivals around the world. Her film Premature won best short film at several festivals. Her last short “The Committee”, premiered in Locarno Film Festival in 2016. She also worked on casting The Square, by Ruben Östlunds, and she is now co-directing a Norwegian feature animation film, as well as a new short called “Play Schengen”. Both films will premier in 2020.
Desert Love is a drama-comedy about a Norwegian mother in the desert for the first time, trying to convince her 40 years old daughter, that runs an alternative stone retreat, to move back to Norway and take over the traditional family farm.
