Ingir Ane Bål
Ingir Ane Bål is a Sámi screenwriter. Previously worked as scriptwriter and host/actress for Sámi Children’s television at NRK. Educated at the Norwegian Children’s Book Institute in Oslo. Published “Liane’s Adult Monologue” in the monologue “She Said” at Transit Forlag. Screenwriter and B-director for the short film “Hilbes biigá” which has been shown at nearly 30 film festivals.
Starred, co-directed and co-wrote the short film “The Tongues” and the film has won best international short film at Palm Springs Shortfest 2020, best director at Rhode Island Film Festival in 2020 and academy qualifying Best Live Action Short at ImagineNative Film Festival 2020. “The Tongues” has attended over 10 Oscar® Qualifying Film Festivals, in addition to film festivals worldwide. Ingir is developing feature film “I love my Guođoheaddji” in collaboration with director Marja Bål Nango.
