Matthijs van der Veer

Matthijs works as head of development for Lemming Film, one of the leading film and television production companies in The Netherlands. He coordinates the development of feature films and television series, as well as contributes to various minority co-productions.
After attaining an MA in Film Studies at the University of Amsterdam, Matthijs worked at various film festivals, such as the International Film Festival Rotterdam. He quickly moved on to story editing, which he practiced for four years at the Dutch public broadcaster NTR.
In 2016, Matthijs was selected as a jury member for the Giornate degli Autori competition through the 28 Times Cinema programme, and consequently functioned as an ambassador for the LUX Film Prize. Additionally, Matthijs is an alumnus of the 2018 edition of the TorinoFilmLab ScriptLab.
