Rebecca Anastasi is a film producer from Malta, with over 17 years of production industry experience. She is the founder of Nizza Films, which is dedicated to championing new talent from uncharted geographies, cultures and communities by building bridges between international partners in Europe and beyond. She was the delegate producer for the Maltese feature film, Luzzu, by Alex Camilleri, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 2021 and was Malta’s submission for the Academy Awards. Over the course of her career, Rebecca has worked in film production on international projects produced for the BBC and HBO, amongst others. Rebecca is a Berlinale Talents Alumna (2021), a participant in the European Women’s Audio-Visual Network’s (EWA) mentorship programme, and a member of the European Film Academy.
