Project
Tremble
Wales, 1877. Desperate for money, a destitute miner (EDWARD JONES) and ageing widow (SIENCYN) agree to rob a grave and ferry the coffin of murderer Henry Tremble 25 miles across the mountains at night, delivering him to his final destination before the sun rises.
As the secret journey across the night time landscape of Wales unfolds, so too does the tale of the dead man, his murderous acts and eventual suicide. The quest takes on a metaphysical quality; reflections on their own lives prompted by the mystery surrounding him and his deeds a year ago.
Pursued by militia, Jones and Siencyn lose their way and then the coffin, when their horse and cart are stolen. Can they find the body by dawn and with it, their own salvation?
